IT’S MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I rush down-stairs and scoff up my breakfast so fast it could have won a world record.
Then I jump on the couch and start reading. After reading for a few minutes it’s time for me to pick my best friend James up to go to Ballarat so we could go to the Ballarat Wild Life Park and then go and have my party at Ballarat go-cartting and laser force.
At Ballarat Wild Life Park James, my brother and I got to see snakes, crocs, alligators, tortoises, wombats, koalas, kangaroos and Tasmanian devils. We got to meet some of my other good friends there also.
Once we saw all of that we went on a tour of the Wild Life Park even though we had just given one to ourselves already. At the end of the tour when the tour-gide was holding a big Python on his shoulders he asked me if I wanted to hold it because I was the birthday-boy (my dad told him it was my birthday and that I loved snakes) I said thank you, and then he put the Python on my shoulders.
After that I was speechless with a big petrified smile on my face for a few minutes. We had a picnic with my friends at the Wildlife Park. My mum made all this awesome food that we brought with us so we could enjoy a birthday picnic together with all my friends.
Next we were off to the Go Karting! I love go karting because you get to drift. It also gives me the thrill of going really fast and passing my brother 🙂 I like to pretend that I am a professional race care driver and when there is a gap between two cars I quickly snuck in between and past as fast as a lightening bolt. I had an awesome birthday with my family and good friends.
Piñata Birthday Cake
METHOD: Freckles for decorating: To make the freckles we melted dairy-free, nut-free chocolate in the microwave for 60 seconds. Spread little spoonfuls onto baking paper. Sprinkle hundreds and thousands over the buttons before the chocolate hardens. Leave to set.
Cake for inside piñata: We used our Basic Vanilla Base Cake in a round 18cm cake tin and iced it and place allergy friendly lollie treats and home made freckles all over it.
Shell of piñata: To make chocolate shell: grease 1 litre Christmas pudding bowl with oil; place bowl in freezer for 10 minutes. Place 150 g of dairy-free, nut-free chocolate and 150g of dairy-free, nut-free white chocolate into the microwave for 40 seconds. Stir with spatula. Repeat this process until chocolate has melted and mixed through. Place melted chocolate into the pudding bowl and swirl chocolate to coat inside of pudding bowl evenly using a spatula. Continue swirling until chocolate begins to set and stops flowing around the pudding bowl. Try and keep the chocolate a uniform thickness, particularly at the edges. Stand until chocolate is almost set and then freeze until chocolate sets completely.
Using a hot cloth, briefly rub outside of bowl. Chocolate shell will slip from bowl to completely.
Using melted milk chocolate, secure pre made freckles or other allergy friendly lollies to decorate top of piñata shell.
Cover over lollie filled iced cake. Allow birthday child to break the piñata. Using child hammer.
